AMSCO US Prep Book Question About Revisions

So everyone says to get the AMSCO book for apush. I noticed that there is a revised versions of it but upon closer inspection it appears that on amazon the revised version is published earlier and the one on the AMSCO site is published in 2006 and i think it is the second revised version. Does anyone know if that's true and if it is are all the answer keys out there the same for both? Did the revisions not affect the questions?

bump bump bump

I used the Amsco book in class this year and it did not help at all! The book that my class used (I think it was the one with the American flag design on the front...I wasn't aware of the various editions) had no answer keys; the teacher chose the best answer. Also, many of the sections were highly overgeneralized. I hope that you are not using this as a primary reading source. From my experience, my Enduring Visoins Textbook was wonderful and provided a plethora of information. (I rarely used the Amsco because the textbook provided me everything I needed; Amsco was just busy work.)

But, again, the edition I had had no answer keys. The teacher picked the best answer.

i was going to use it as more of a review book rather than my primary source

My AMSCO book from last year also was missing an answer key. You can write to the publisher and they'll send you one. It was a pain, though. Overall the book is pretty good.

Marie, I bought the AMSCO book from the AMSCO website before last school year, and it doesn't come with an answer key, although you can find the answers online if you google "AMSCO answers." I recommend you just buy it from the AMSCO website.

anyway the AMSCO book is fantastic and it helped me get a 780 on the SAT 2 and hopefully a 5 on the AP (keep in mind though, I'm not a history person and this book was truly a lifesaver. It's pretty much the only source you need for the exam.
