I have many reasons to hate Rutgers, and regardless of the reasons, I need to get out of Rutgers. Rutgers has been terrible in handling a rather unique situation I went through in November. Half way through the semester I broke my leg, after midterms which I received B+'s across the board on. But I was hospitalized for a month with a very rare case of compartment syndrome. Long story short, I had to take two incomplete's and two withdraws. The two classes I took the incomplete's in I was doing excellent in. High B+'s, one class being with the famous Doug Husak of Moral Philosophy. But because I took the incompletes, not being able to go to lecture is probably going to cost me a half a grade or so. This semester, I believe I am doing great, but I would be lying if I said I am going to have a 4.0. I have been having a bunch of outside distractions because of my leg and inability to walk often, and dealing with PTSD.

I know I want to leave Rutgers, and my dream school is Swarthmore, but I know I have no shot. My HS resume is good GPA wise, 3.54, but my SATS are basically 550's across the board. EC's were great in high school, pres of class, pres of key club, hosted a lecture on the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. But I already know my predetermined fate if I applied to Swarthmore. So I am going to apply to Gettysburg, but I am not even sure I will get into Gburg. I plan on interviewing at Gburg, but would applying to Swarthmore be a waste of money, and would an interview be a waste of my time and the admissions officer? Characteristically, I offer many things that make me unique. But my grades are below average, at best for Swarthmore. One plus, is my brother is a Swat alum. Can anybody give me suggestions for schools to apply to for transferring for fall term 09? My GPA this year "should" be a 3.0-3.4
