I’m going to apply from Wisconsin as a repeat Sophomore or a Junior for the 2016 school year. Any advice/chances would be awesome. I’m also looking for information about applying as a repeat Sophomore and whether that would help/hurt my chances.

Exeter is world famous in math. I think you would do well there, and they love athletes. I think you have a good shot. I would do the repeat Sophomore thing, as getting grounded in the Harkness method and getting familiar with your classmates and all the activities in Junior year (generally regarded as the toughest at all these schools) would only bring you grief. Of course, if you were full pay, you would have an even better chance.
Thank you for your advice, and yes i will probably have to pay full.
Anyone have any advice about recruiting at Andover and/or Exeter?
I’m going to Exeter as a lower (sophomore) this fall, and I will tell you that sports coaches were very active in communicating with me throughout the application process. Although I’m nowhere near the skill level needed for Exeter varsity sports and did not express any specific interest in playing varsity, the coaches saw that I was on varsity at my old school in my application and emailed me asking for more information about my positions, coaches, and experience in the sport. They are definitely actively seeking athletes who are interested in playing for them. Also, on my revisit day, I was paired with somebody who played the same sport as I did, and I spent part of the day talking to the coach and watching a practice. All of the coaches’ emails are on the website, so you can contact them that way too. Hope this helped!
