Animal Physiology Major

If there are any animal physiology majors out there, how many labs and upper division courses does one need to take for the major?

Is -BIOAP 3110 Introductory Animal Physiology
-BIOAP 3160 Cellular Physiology
-BIOBM 4400 Laboratory in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
-BIOAP 4580 Mammalian Physiology

Are these courses sufficient or is 1 more needed? If so, please identify whether it is a lecture or lab or either. Thanks.

Also do you think that my soph yr as a transfer will be extremely tough with these courses:

Soph
Fall- Evolutionary Bio, Gen Bio Lab, Orgo 1, Stats
Spring- Gen Bio Lab, Orgo, Orgo Lab, Animal Physiology Course or Bio chem 2 or genetics

Junior
Fall- Biochem 1, Physics 1, Physics Lab
Spring- Biochem 2 or genetics or physiology course, Physics 2, Physics Lab, Biochem Lab

Senior
Fall- Animal Physiology Course, Animal Physiology Lab, Humanities Course
Spring- Genetics, Genetics Lab, Humanities Course, Mammalian

Norcalguy, I also wanted to do this major and I will be a transfer in the upcoming school year. I was wondering do you think it's a bad idea to take orgo, orgo lab, and physics in the fall. For me, I feel like I'm somewhat behind even though I might not be, because I have so many reqs to fill.
So I made a sample course list also for just '08-'09

Fall '08
Orgo 357(& lab 2510), physics 207, the greek experience, intro to cog sci, and maybe beg. swim (since i dont know how to swim) and/or my second half requirement of the FWS

Spring '09
Orgo 358, physics 208, calc II, genetics, and maybe animal physiology

Summer '09
Biochem, Bio EE

off topic but the course was mentioned - does biochem 330 and 331/332 have a lab component that is acceptable for med school when they say "bio with lab"?

Yes waffle it does. It is a 1 semester lab (BIOBM 4400- Biochem & mol. Bio Lab). But when med schools say that, they imply freshman bio labs (1 yr).

no, 440 is a separate course that i won't have to take since i'm not doing a concentration that requires it, i'm asking about 330 (autotutorial biochem) and 331/332 (lecture biochem), and i believe that med schools are not necessarily implying freshman bio labs - bio lab in general as long as you have 8 credit hours - i have 4 credit hrs and used AP for the 2nd semester so that i could get 278 over with and leave room in my schedule for something else.

No...the biochem courses you asked about are strictly lecture. There is no lab component.
