Just so you know, it’s impossible to have an unweighted GPA higher than 4.0 so you might want to recalculate that. You are on track to be valedictorian and as a junior your SATs are looking mighty fine. It seems that you’re very entrenched with your philanthropic African projects that you take part it, and that depth is great to have. That being said, I do not attend Dartmouth and am actually a prospective student as well. As they say, it’s often a crapshoot. We’ll both be going up against 5,000 other kids who have the same flawless grades and r

i’m not exactly sure how GPA is calculated at my school, but i think A+s are worth 4.3 instead of 4.0, hence the 4.27.
you’re right, it’s a crapshoot. i was just posting to see if i had a chance at a chance. thanks for your feedback and good luck to you too!

You have the rank, your ECs look good, you’re from an underrepresented state…just bring up the scores and you look like a strong candidate.

Though I’m a bit confused by the comment above, Dartmouth had over 21,000 applicants this Year!

hmm, definitely strong gpa
SAT’s are lacking a little. bring that up, and it will definitely increase your chances.
maybe try to focus into some of those extracurrics (and write about it on your essay)
positions, maybe a few more? but definitely can state that you have a strong chance (:

it was just an estimation. I know that there are about 20,000 applicants but I’m guessing that only about a fourth of that number will have applications that look like this. By the way, taking a second look at this I’d say you have a very very good chance of getting in.

Is your school particularly weak or something. Usually the val can get above a 700 on the the subject tests lol.

Your standardized scores are your problem. The rest of it looks competitive.

my school is actually really good (someone got accepted at dartmouth last year, another at cornell). i only took one chemistry class and then took the subject test five months later… which was obviously stupid.
