Jeff Gibbs actually. He was Michael Moore's producer. This new movie that is coming out is not being made by Michael Moore, and is of Jeff's own creation. It probably won't be as controversial as Fahrenheit 9/11, but it should get people talking.

Whoever said anything about discipline? I certainly have it now, but I concede that I certainly did not have it in freshman year of high school, especially when it came to that one class. I am not the same person I was 4 years ago. In examining my transcript, one would see all A's and a lone C+ freshman year, followed by an upward trend from then on, interspersed with several B+'s and a few B's. Far from the perfect overachieving student, but still in at least the top 20% of my school's graduating class.

In college, I would argue, there will be less to distract me from doing my work. In the very least there will be far fewer distractions than what I have to put up with in high school. That enough would be motivation for academic success at nearly any institution, IMHO.

how many ap classes did you take? what are your ap scores? were all your classes honors classes? If you took more difficult classes your GPA might not look THAT bad.

I wish you the best of luck. It is unfortunate that someone with achievements such as yours is worried about being accepted to the top choice college. Although it is not what you would want, if you would end up somewhere other than Harvard or MIT, the college itself will not stop you from achieving great things. You can pursue your dreams anywhere, but for your sake I hope that you make it. You have done your best, now just have to wait and see what happens. All of this speculation may be a consolation or a way to keep your mind busy, but in the end you are put under the same microscope as the thousands of others with the hope that you come out of it with a thick envelope.
