I am surprised that this hadn't been posted....:rolleyes:

Social network Facebook plans to completely ditch its admissions policy, welcoming anyone with internet access. The major change was scheduled for today, but has now been postponed until next week while the company struggles to regroup from last week's member revolt in response to new activity-tracking features.

more..

Facebook = MySpace :D

Lol I love how you totally take pleasure in anticipating other people's misery.

I don't care too terribly much because it's just not that important in the grand scheme. But yeah. Oh, there will be anger from the masses.

facebook started going downhill once they started letting high schoolers join.

but it is still better than myspace IMO (for now). no stupid ugly themes and music blaring.

flopsy posted this earlier in another thread...but yeah, not liking the move by zuckerberg

The addition of high school students wasn't good. The News Feeds was alright. But opening it to the public will just kill the entire essence of facebook.

how would it affect anybody though... i know it maybe cool to know that you are a member of an elite network only for colleges.... but stilll only your friends and people in your network can see you..... so how does opening it to anybody change anything?????????

maybe the idea of exclusiveness...

to take from another member...now "everyone and their moms" will have facebooks :rolleyes:

Without being exclusive, facebook becomes a prettier myspace.

eh...that's up for debate :D

My comments were based on the fact that I have neither, so take them with a grain of salt! After Livejournal and Xanga, I was meh to anything even a tiny bit similar to onlineblog things.

lol...smart move!
