So here is the story...I live with my mother and step father. I see my father about once a week. He made a decent amount of money $120,000 and retired at 41 in October. He has never contributed a penny more than his support requirements to help us out. Not one thing. The support amount is the same amount that he paid when I was three years old $400/ month--it never changed and he didn't make much money then. So will this situation ruin my chances of aid. Our household income is around $80,000 and I have 3 other siblings. Should I talk to the financial aid office about this? Ideas?

So does anyone think the non custodial profile will hurt my chances of getting financial aid?
