Another irritating question regarding admission

I know that only admission counselors can legitimately decide whom they admit, but I was wondering what you think my chances are for freshman admission to Carnegie Mellon University?

I graduated early at sixteen and I'm currently taking audit (non-credit)classes at a community college. I also graduated as Valedictorian, but my senior class was so small it's negligible.

Intended Major: History

Weighted GPA 3.6
Unweighted GPA 3.5

Freshman (F in French) 3.14
Sophmore 3.93
Senior 3.8
Texas Tech Extended studies 3.5

SAT I
690 Verbal
660 Math
610 Writing

SAT II
I will not receive the scores until December, though I think I did reasonably well.

Advanced Classes

AP History

(I wanted to take so many more AP classes, but my school was limited, so I took all that was available)

I received all A's and B's in high school except one F in French freshman year. I am also an English citizen who has lived in Italy for the past four years, with a U.S. greencard, and my mother is a single parent. Currently living in North Carolina.

Your freshman year will most probably not be looked at so your GPA will be quite good. Your SAT scores could be higher though as a lot of the applicants who have SATs in the 1300s are usually split in like 750 math and 600 verbal, etc.

However you are applying to HSS so I think you have a pretty good chance. Your E.C's are very good and I think if you write good essays you're definitely in.

Is an SAT Subject Test actually required for H&SS? I only took tests in History and literature.

Carnegie Mellon pretty much requires SAT II's for most colleges. Per their web site: http://my.cmu.edu/site/admission/page.academic_req#HSS

HSS requires two SAT II's
Math level I or II and one additional SAT II
