P.S. Would it make a significant difference if I qualified for USA Chem, Bio, or Physics Olympiads?

You definitely have a solid shot at all of them, IMO.
Harvard-50%
Princeton-50%
Yale-50%
Stanford-50%
Columbia-60%
Penn-65%
Dartmouth-70%
Brown-75%
Cornell-90%

Good a chance as any, at anywhere you apply(: Assuming you don’t let your dog write your essays… Even then, you’d STILL have decent chances!(: But really, you’re pretty much assured entrance to at least 3 Ivy League schools, if you apply to all of them. Apply to some psuedo-Ivy League schools too, such as Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Duke, Northwestern, UChicago, etc. Good luck!(:

On a side note, I did think that my music involvement would be more significant. Is it not at least as hard and prestigious to make All-Eastern orchestra as it is to make USAMO? Or is it just because music is not related to my intended field of study?

I’m not sure; there are a lot of prestigious music things you can do whereas USAMO is basically the single accepted measure of extracurricular math talent, so it would seem that that stands out a lot more. As for USAMO, only about 250-275 people qualify each year from the entire US & Canada. (500 before it was split into USAMO and USAJMO). How many years did you qualify & did you ever make the summer camp? Do you know how well you did?

Even if you didn’t do well, making it is a big achievement; it’s not going to get you in anywhere by itself but with your already strong stats it’s a definite plus.

Nice chances everywhere. Low income, USAMO, First-gen, and amazing accomplishment with Violin, great academics. I’m not sure how not taking private lessons would not be a good essay topic. Seems more like bragging than anything else.
