ugpa:3.8 wgpa:4.0 (Straight A in math and science classes, straight B in English)
rank: I'd say top 10%, but don't rank.
act: e24/m36/r20/s27 = c27
sat: r540/m730/w560 = 1830 (October)
I took in December as well expecting similar reading, ~800 math, 600+ writing. I'll update on thursday when scores come out.
sat2: physics 740 math2 790 japanese 740
Toefl: IBT 97 (retook it since I had 19 on speaking..(21 is minimum) TT)
ap: took Physics B and Stats - expecting 5 on both.
gonna take Cal BC, WH, Physics C.
EC: AIME qualifier.
Asian, no citizenship of Canada and US, live in US.
Major: Physics (Department of Science) or Computer Engineering

I know that my reading score is too low..though since I have high scores on other things..I don't know..Please evaluate my chance.
McGill is definitely my first choice!!

Umm..nobody? Anyway I got r490/m800/w560(9)...reading score became lower by 50 points..
And I got 5 on physics B and stats..not expecting..
ah..probably I should take sat again..or act? do they accept feb act?
One more thing..Do they look at highest combined? I hope they do..

I think a guy got in with 26 act. (30 eng and 21 sci) You have a shot. Your high sat2 and math score will compensate other scores. For internationals (other than US, Britain, Australia, etc.), Toefl score will compensate sat(or act) reading and writing scores. Anyway, you have a shot. Good luck.

I know that 490 is low..but I got 540 before and 20 on act reading..(I know that still these scores are low too). I think they look at higher score on act and sat. How about my act score?
Oh, car202, that makes me feel a little better. Thanks.

i dont know about your act score since i never took the act, i took the SAT's only. but i mean, you have a decent shot, but if you are looking for constructive criticism, then the problem area is definitely your reading score.

depends on what your intended major is. If you apply for music, they don't require sats (WOOT!!)...but if you apply for science ,haha, you need absoultely stellar sats!

from what i see around me,
for science, most people have above a 700 in math and in the 600's for reading and writing. but usually the upper 600's
