Another transfer question

Does anyone happen to know how they process non-required materials? I ask this question because I had mid-semester grades sent to BU because I felt they would help my chances of getting in. I recall a Today show segment a while back that featured a BU admissions officer going over the application process. I think she mentioned each applicant having an individual file and how every form recieved from the applicant goes into his/her file. Given that virtually everything is computer based now, does this process still exist or are all documents processed electronically? Or both?

I guess the point im getting at is how exactly are applications processed/reviewed? I could probably just call the admissions office and have these questions answered, but the people here seem pretty knowlegeable and helpful so I thought i’d give this a try first.

I applied as a transfer and have been paranoid about these sorts of things since i submitted my app a few weeks ago.

Thanks in advance.

dont worry, colleges do have a folder for each applicant. anything you send them will automatically be put into their folder. BU sends out confirmation letters saying they have your application & you can check the application status online. also when they go to review it, and they find something is missing, usually they will mail you a letter about it/post it online. i would definitely call them if you feel mega worried about it [i was like this when i did a bunch of my college applications too, so i know how it feels lol].
