Anthro course - breadth AND AC reqs?

Hi, I was just wondering if I took an anthropology course which fulfills the SBS breadth, will it also fulfill my AC requirement?

Thanks

I’m also wondering this…for L&S, you can’t fulfill a breadth and a prereq (right?), but you can fulfill a breadth and an AC requirement?

You can use a course to satisfy the breadth and prereq for L&S, but you can’t do the same if you’re applying to Haas.

oh right, I was getting confused with Haas. but it’s true that you can satisfy a breadth and AC requirement correct?

yes you can satisfy breadth and AC simultaneously.
yes you can satisfy breadth and prereq simultaneously.

haas probably throws that off.

oh ok, so you can fulfill AC/breadth simultaneously even for haas?

bump please?

The new breadth requirements for Haas are the same for L&S.

From the Haas website:

Students should adhere to the 7-Course Breadth guidelines outlined on the College of Letters and Science web site with the following exceptions:

•Business courses cannot be used to fulfill breadth requirements.
•Reading and Composition courses cannot be used to fulfill breadth requirements.
•The course used to fulfill the Haas Literature/Writing prerequisite cannot be used to fulfill a breadth requirement.
•Microeconomics and macroeconomics at any level (Econ 1, Econ 2, Econ 3, Econ 100A/B, Econ 101A/B, IAS 106/107) cannot be used to fulfill breadth requirements.

It seems as though you may satisfy both for Haas as well.

Good thing because I just signed up for Anthro 2AC and it’s good to know that it will fulfill both
