Anthropology.

Does anyone know of any undergraduate colleges/universities that have a particularly good anthropology department?

I'm toying with the idea of majoring in anthropology, focusing slightly on archaeology, and minoring in history.

Any input?

some of the best are University of Michigan, Berkeley, and Columbia.

Thanks! (:

Depends on your career goals. If you just want a degree then go to the school with the most prestige. If there is some area of archaeology that you are very interested in, and there is a school that is located near where they dig then that might be something work looking into. In the US they dig for dinosaur bones in a bunch of places. Maybe the midest...but defs in montanna.

Thank you! (:
I'll look into a few Midwestern schools.

I go to UCLA but I think it's pretty solid

I know the midwest tends to be the hub of the best university programs. I read a book on modern Darwinian theory published by Wisconsin at Madison and learned that they really do have some of the best facilities, most Nobel laureates, and one of the overall strongest programs out there. For Anthro specifically, I know U of Chicago, Michigan, and Madison are among the top graduate schools. I would assume that their undergraduate programs would follow.

Thank you all! (:

I'm considering U of Chicago... haven't looked into the others.
Will do!
