<p>Does that mean the University should pay most attention to them, or agree to their demands on a particular topic, even if the silent majority feel otherwise?</p>
<p>I mean, Birgeneau recently wrote in his “apology” letter to campus that we should unite around “common goals” including the reversal of Prop 209 and passage of the DREAM Act. Seems to me that he’s in no position to say such a thing on behalf of the campus community, especially if he values equity and inclusion on campus.</p>
