I have to narrow down a major by this year, I am aware that careers all depend on the setting to determine certain descriptions and I’ve done a lot of research but would like others feedback on what they think. Thank you in advance!
Daytime hours
Creativity involved (If possible)
Job security
Decent pay
Work/Life Balance
@Melodyx Since all of the items you list are “in the eye of the beholder”-type things (what’s “decent pay” for one person isn’t for another) – why not research various health care careers yourself?

Thank you! You’re right I could have been more specific decent pay for me would be over 45K. I’ve been searching health careers all this week, I feel like I am going in a loop …from sonographer to occupational therapy assistant I have to make up my mind soon, I am going to check out your link -thank you!
That’s a great website but the two things that came to mind first are not on there (art therapy and child life specialist). Child life specialist probably more in demand/greater security than art therapy.
Thank you! Surprised that you mentioned Art Therapy, that has always been my “ideal” career but I gave up that thought considering it’s a masters degree, relatively new field and it’s not offered in my area at the moment. Child life specialist, i will look into that!
