Get your SAT’s up and the Ivies like to see focus and passion in a specific area. So instead of doing a bunch of random EC’s, find something you like and focus on it. Be the best in one area and you’d have a shot. But keep in mind that the Ivies are a crapshoot for anyone. Good luck!

I agree with everyone else. You’re already going to retake the SAT so that’s good. Also, don’t worry about your school’s stupid AP rule hindering you. Colleges take into account what students did given what they had. You’re black so that helps, but you need to focus on something that will be your hook. It should be unique, and you need to dedicate yourself to it and get really good at it. You’re a junior though so it is unfortunately too late. My honest opinion is that you don’t have a chance at the Ivies, but you definitely do somewhere else. No matter what you want to major in, you’ll learn the same information whether it’s at Harvard or at a community college. Best regards and Happy Easter! Thank Jesus for the sacrifice He made so that we can live!
