So, I know on the super long thread on “NMSF predictions” there was some talk about confirming scores for NMF, but now, I can’t find that info. Does anyone have any predictions based on the past confirming scores? My daughter just did a baseline SAT and didn’t score super-high, but it might be good enough. She is starting Testive this week.
I called National Merit people (they are super nice by the way). Last year the confirming score was 1960, and they haven’t concluded what this year’s score will be. Also, NMSF lists are being sent out August 23rd!
@luckymama64 Art Sawyer from Compass predicts the confirming SAT score will be 1360-1380 and possibly as high as 1400. Just one person’s prediction, but I sense he’s a pretty good prognosticator. My S received a 1430, which though it’s lower than his PSAT score, we hope will be high enough for a confirming score.
Any idea what the confirming score will be for old SAT? I’m just curious - I’m pretty hopeful that, should my PSAT score make me a scholar, my SAT score will confirm, but just wanna make sure
They said they were still working on it… “Because of the new SAT”. Concordance has been out now for months… These people just want to continue to string us along.
Could be that they are not following the concordance tables. By now colleges and scholarship orgs. have access to the March, May and June SAT scores (assuming that kids took advantage of the free score send). What if they are coming up with different distributions than the concordance would suggest?
