Any college suggestion??

Someone pliz suggest me any university satisfying these conditions.

-Located in an urban setting (better if in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, etc..)
-Good reputation (ranks in the first 100 nationally, but not the HYPS or something)
-Good at Computer Science (major)
-Not important whether large or small, but not too small

Thank you very very much!

Stanford - Palo Alto, on San Francisco Bay
MIT - Cambridge, very close to Boston
UC Berkeley - Berkeley
Carnegie Mellon - Pittsburgh
University of Texas - Austin
University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign
University of Washington - Seattle
University of Wisconsin - Madison
UCLA - Los Angeles
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor
Georgia Tech - Atlanta

^ I agree with the post above!

Thank you! Everybody agree with this? Or any more suggestions??

That looks like a good list

How about Case Western, in Cleveland?

Cornell is also good at CS. You might also want to add it to your list. I am not suggesting the school because I am going there, but it really is good at your interested field. LOL

thank you!

Look at Johns Hopkins as well.

boston university
northeastern

Not the best comp-sci departments but good and in an urban setting and not yet listed: Chicago, Rochester, and Columbia

Hey Guys, I heard that New York, and Boston are the worst choice to those who firstly arrive in the US, cuz' these cities' living cost is very expensive and difficult to live. So please Recommend me great colleges that are not in these cities.

You should look into Rice - a great school with a great CS program in a top city (Houston) with lower cost of living.

Several schools listed in post #2 are in the HYP-category: Berkeley, Stanford, UCLA, MIT and to some extent Michigan are all extreme 'reaches' for anyone, in Berkeley's case it's a major reach for out of stateers.

I would add USC. I had many friends who were Computer Science or CECS majors and did very well after graduation.

CoL is always scaled.
If you work in NYC or SF, you can make $150k with...an IT jobs that may only pay $90k elsewhere...
