Hello I’m dominican too!!, and I want to apply to Georgia Tech. What universities did you apply for? are you studying in DR?

@cc1323 yes im currently studying in the DR and applied to several universities in Florida and Boston area… (FIU, BU,Bentley, UM, and some more…) What about you? Mandame un mensaje si tu quiere para seguir hablando.

Hello! I am Dominican as well! I am applying to several colleges including Babson and Drexel. What are your stats like?

@theleader1 message me

I am from Venezuela. I have been accepted into FIU and Northeastern University.Still waiting on BU and UChicago but I am probably 100% sure I am going to Northeastern. The good thing is that, since we are international students, they take into consideration the TOEFL much more than the SAT. I encourage every international student to apply to Northeastern. It is top 50 in the US and also one of the best worldwide.

@SantoRomeo No men,I don’t beleive that the TOEFL has much value on the admissions decisions. All they do is check if you meet the minimum score requirements for the English Profiency test; and for the TOEFL the requirement is between 80-90 points iBT )

@SantoRomeo Anyways, congratulations on your acceptances and would you mind sharing your stats (GPA, sat ,toefl, etc…) since you did enter to Northeastern, a top university.

@Salami809 sure.
TOEFL: 100
GPA: 3.7
SAT: 1530 (took it just one time during junior year)
CLASS RANK: top 5%
AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS: Student of the month during freshmen and junior years.
Collaborator on my local hospital,
Organized the first recycling plant in my town in Venezuela. All the plastics go to a foundation that helps children with cancer and stray dogs
Organized my town’s first soccer tournament

There are more but I can’t remember them right now.

As you can see, my SAT score is not great; however, they took into consideration my TOEFL score and my achievements during high school. My transcript shows straight A’s from freshman to Senior year.

@santoromeo man damn u lucky you got acceptrd to such selective and good university like northeastern with those sat’s , congratulations!
This shows that maybr they do look beyond standarized test scores… Awesome mate, keep it up!
