Any EEP or Econ Majors out there? Please help!

I'm wanting to ask 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year EEP or Econ majors out there! What classes did you take during the first and second semesters of your 1st year at Cal, in terms of major prereqs? Are the prereqs at a small enough number where I can skip doing any prereqs during my 2nd semester and pick back up during my 3rd semester? Not that I'm thinking of doing that, but I was just wondering what people out there have done.

What matters most is the longest chain of prerequisites.

Economics prerequisites to apply to declare:
[Prospective Majors](http://www.econ.berkeley.edu/econ/ugrad/prospect_prerequisites.shtml)
Long chain “less math”: Math 1A or 16A and Economics 1 -> Economics 100A or 100B and Math 1B or 16B and Statistics 20 or 21 (2 semesters)
Long chain “more math”: Math 1A -> Math 1B and Economics 1 -> Economics 101B (3 semesters; Statistics 20 or 21 also needed; need Math 53 and 54 eventually)

EEP information:
[Environmental Economics and Policy](Environmental Economics and Policy | UC Berkeley Rausser College of Natural Resources)
Long chain “less math”: same as for Economics “less math”, but must take Economics 100A or EEP 100 (instead of Economics 100B) to declare
Long chain “more math”: Math 1A -> Math 1B and Economics 1 -> Math 53 -> Economics 101A (4 semesters; Statistics 20 or 21 also needed)

Of course, if you use AP credit for Math 1A and/or Math 1B, then the prerequisite chains get shorter.

Thank you! :slight_smile: Very helpful

Hi, I am applying EEP at Cal this year. I was wondering if you know anything with this major and the average GPA for transfer student?
Thank you.
