Any grads

Hello I'm coming in as a physics grad student.

Anyone else a grad? I'm 21!!! I feel so old.

Anyone else prepared to be bludgeoned by work their first year while the undergrad freshman have it (relatively) easier? Also why'd you pick UCR? I wanted to go out west. And all the UC's are model institutes for physics. I applied to berkely, UCI, UCSD, UCR, and UCSC. All but UCI rejected me, and I like riverside...oh well.

On a side note, does anyone feel that they can read PhD comics without guilt now?

Hey Shinn!

I am in a similar situation as you except that I am graduating from UC Riverside and will be attending grad school somewhere else. Like you, I am a bit envious of all the incoming freshmen and wish that I was able to repeat my years as a new student. I really do think that we don't know what we have until it's gone.

P.S. you are still really young!

Shinn, you're not so old. There are plenty of undergraduate transfer students older than you.

I think what I'm most worried about are weekends when I hear everyone will leave.
