I don’t undestand when an undergrad degree in BME got such a bad rap. Although it’s been about 20 years since both my spouse and I received our degrees, we have been employed without having graduate degrees. I’ve worked with other biomedical engineers with only undergraduate degrees as well. One company where I worked routinely hired new graduates, especially ones that had worked there as co-op students. My spouse is also a hiring manager and frequently hires biomedical engineers with a BS. Perhaps as @GraniteStateMom said, maybe it is regional. We are in the NY/NJ area.
