Any Ideas

The recruitment was planned to basically let students know that Tulane was up and running just fine. It wasn't because their numbers were coming in low - it was proactive, not reactive. And now that everything's back on track, I can't see it being a buyer's market next year at all.

Whats the average stats for a Miami OH applicant?

Average GPA: 3.80
Average SAT: 1202
Average ACT: 27

I am a student at Miami (Ohio) (I only refer to it by that name when I have to---Miami University is more apt) and I think you have a decent shot, and I would encourage you to apply and definitely visit. With your stats I think you are a Match/Reach. Where are you from?

If you have any questions about the school I'd be glad to answer (PM me or post here- I also have pictures of campus you could see) It is getting hard to get into, but the acceptance percentage is still just over 70% (but this is because Miami has many extremely qualified kids apply and turn it down for Ivy-like schools).

Average stats can sometimees be misleading, because they're, well, average. Without knowing the range of GPAs or SAT scores that went into that average, you could sometimes overlook good schools you have a shot at. Definitely take the word of a student that goes there - they know who they see and what they did to get in.

just for clarification...the stats above are not the averages for Miami applicants, but rather, Miami STUDENTS. (although everyone probably realized that im just being a little picky)

What are some other good business schools that I could get into?

university of nc - chapel hill is a gorgeous place.
It only accepts 12% of out-of-states but you should give it a shot.

Also consider Grinnell.

Is that a joke? He probably has a better chance of getting into Cornell then UNC:CH. UNC out of state is one of the most rediculous things in the college system. Also, I think Grinnell is a big reach for him too.

watch out for unc it is out of control, i wouldn't tell anyone they had a GOOD chance unless they had a 33+ on ACT

33 would still only give you a marginal shot.
