<p>Well though our son thought he made his final decision to go to Sonoma he has changed his mind and will be attending U. of Oregon. He was too concerned about the social aspects of SSU and wanted more of a total college experience (sports, school spirit, college town, frat. houses, etc). Sonoma as we discovered has a huge number of commuters and that wasn't appealing to him either. It's a great school but all things considered he felt that U. of O. was the better fit for him and we are happy for him.</p>
<p>congratulations to your son - i think he made a very good choice. those large universities (especially in the west) offer tremendous opportunities and value.</p>
<p>Yes, and U. of O. isn't too big (16K). He wasn't interested in any schools larger than that. He is really excited about it and we are happy for him too.</p>
