can i expect to hear something in the mail of e-mail first?

does this mean if i haven't gotten a package yet i've been rejected?? i live in s'pore btw.
:( this sucks!!!

All Torontonians I know have gotten their acceptance packages by now :)

yeah i live in singapore too. so if you haven't gotten a package yet, does that mean we are denied? red_devil, i'm right there with you :(

Just got the e-mail....... rejected.... this sucks

Ahhh, don't worry about it, Sanhyoh. You'll be better than fine without NYU and those retarded Ivies. In fact, you'll be GREAT in spite of them. You're gonna go out into the world and dominate it no matter where you end up and no matter where you go. Nobody can take away from you. And you know what? If it comes down to it, then there's always the option to transfer after a couple of semesters. I know everybody hates that contemplation simply because it is rare for students to have the energy and willpower to do so, but I know that you have it. You're gonna be just Great, I know it, Sanhyoh. I promise you that. Just keep up your independent and competitive spirit and you'll succeed no matter where you end up.

not really realistic but comforting none the less

What's not realistic about transfering? Are you retarded or something, rukun? Do you know Sannyon? No. So don't say that everything that mainevent said wasn't realistic. Because it is. Sannyon is completely capable of dominating in the college realm and nothing you or anyone else can say will ever change that.

i dont know sanyon and she may be very talented and all, but dude, the truth is that talent is not the only thing that insures success most of the time. why else do you think so many people aspire to go to ivies and the new ivys like NYU.

i never said transferring isnt possible, but what mainevent missed out was that the road to success will be alot more demanding in terms of effort as compared to if one is in a top ranked uni. even if one is talented, they need the proper opportunities too.

p.s im not retarded

Yeah, but she does have the option to transfer out, no? And even complete a Masters at an ivy, no? So, it is very realistic.

OMG all of this just because of little 'ol Me...Mainevent, JCFisher, you guys are awesome! i don't know what i would do without you guys, just the confidence you guys have in me is enough to tell NYU to screw themselves and move on.... after all i still have Northeastern...Rukun, for what it counts, i agree with you, i know it's gonna be harder than if i got into an Ivy or NYU, but whatever, life moves on... Congrats to all of those that got in - for me there's a different road to take... oh well

P.S. i don't think you're retarded either
