Any Johnson Scholars considering IVY acceptances if offered?

To all those who got Johnson Scholarships, congratulations, what a great honor and opportunity. I was wondering if anyone in this list will be considering going to an IVY if it is offered? Hard decision, as the sholarship is such a great offer.

D will consider it, but only if H/P/Y …

Really depends on economics from them.

thts my precise situation, parenthesis. but even if i get into one (or all) of those three, theyd have to give me more money than i think they will. im almost def taking the scholarship. plus, w nd l is so0o0o on the rise. id bet it will have the prestige of amherst nd williams in a few years

I have 5 schools I’d accept over the Johnson…Northwestern, Hopkins, Columbia, Tufts, and Georgetown.

really? i got into georgetown early but im not giving it a second thought

I also got into Georgetown early, and I’m going to get my Johnson decision tomorrow. However, I am also leaving tomorrow for Georgetown’s accepted student open house this weekend. To be honest, I really don’t know what I would take- Georgetown or Johnson.

please don’t come here if you care so much about rankings and prestige. we don’t want a bunch of snotty freshmen saying, “well i WANTED to go to harvard, but w&l gave me money so i guess it’s okay.” we are SO MUCH DIFFERENT than the ivies and all those northern liberal arts colleges. only come here if you really want to, regardless of money. otherwise you won’t be happy

well said, general2011. That goes for any other school too. Not that this is a problem that I could ever have! :frowning: There was no way I was even considered for the Johnson. I just like W&L.

D has decided IVY’s are not for her … gong to W&L and can’t wait for September.
