My S had a message on his portal that he's been "offered" the Bridge Program ICharleston for next fall. No other info offered, not even in the mail, and his admissions rep is now on vacation. The limited info I've read on their website looks like it is a conditional acceptance provided you study in either London, Dublin or Canada. However, on their website, it's lumped in with "bridge" programs for transfer students from 2 year schools. If you complete it, you will be offered admittance to Spring '15. No info on website about classes at all. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this program or is it brand new? A little disappointed that he wouldn't join his class on campus in the fall and he's certainly not in need of hand holding via a "transition" program (ie he's travelled plenty and is very independent). However, what could be wrong about going abroad?? Thanks for any info.

S also got a package today offering ICharleston. If we understand correctly he will not be offered any financial aid or scholarship. Dublin program will cost about $18K, not affordable if we have to pay out of pocket. The courses offered in Dublin include introductory classes in cinema, psychology and history. No meal plan.
S is very disappointed, it seems more like rejection.
