I was wondering if any one has heard any new news on the presidents $1500 tuition increase proposal. I just found out about this and as a waiting transfer student I've been freaking out about this. I cant find any information on whether or not this has been resolved yet or when/if a vote is to take place, or already has taken place.
Any info anyone can give would be really helpful, I've got enough to stress over right now.

Also, when UF in creases tuition does that affect the whole student body or just incoming students?

In my “gator aid” handbook for this year that Finaid gave me, the increase will more than likely be approved.

I’m going through the online gator aid handbook and I don’t see any mention of the increase, did you get yours in office or as a pdf?

Okay… this is weird. i’ll try and upload a scan of the book I have. it’s identical to the one posted online except where it lists “estimated costs of attendance”. there is a note that reads "the final approved tuition/fees for 2011-12 are not available at the time of printing. For tuition and fee information, go to the University Financial Services student page, <a href="http://www.fa.ufl.edu/ufs.“>www.fa.ufl.edu/ufs.”

this pdf copy is different then mine: http:/

My GatorAid book is Orange (it’s identical except for that note) and got it from an admissions person when she visited my school about 3-4 weeks ago.

Yeah, leave it up to Governor Scott and he’ll push for the increase. If he does increase it, UF can opt to place another increase on top of his …oh what fun :)
