I'll like to enquire if any of you received free spiral bound notebooks from your University? Specifically those which contains advertisements (From GPA Media, Absnotebooks etc.)

If you do, I'll like to buy it from you (new or used). I'm starting a similar business here in my country and I would really hope to get a sample notebook so I can better understand the quality which would help my business.

I'm terribly sorry if my post is inappropriate or in the wrong section.

You can reply here, private msg me or drop me an email at joshlim.718[at]gmail.com

Well based on my research.. universities and college do sometimes gives out free stuff such as key chains, notepad papers, spiral bound notebooks etc. Usually during orientation day (Is that what you call it in U.S?)

But of course there's a catch such as key chains will be branded to a particular name, notepad papers may contains water print or advertisements..

It's a win win as company gets to get their message out and students get to enjoy some free stuff..

The majority of people on CC are from the US, or are currently living in the US. But there are quite a few Canadians, Chinese, and Western Europeans here too.

I've always paid for my spirals (from stores not owned by schools), although a lot of them do have advertising from that company that offers students heavily discounted magazine subscriptions.

joshlim.718, if I were you I would consider going directly to companies that produce promotional products. I realize it's not exactly what you're describing, but showyourlogo.com, for instance (I got the URL from Google with the search "promotional advertising spiral.notebook", not from any personal knowledge of the company), sells 5 X 7 inch notebooks with 80 sheets in them and custom logos on the front for as low as $1.49 each, and says that they offer other sizes as well. They might be able, with the appropriate permissions, to produce notebooks with the school's logo and some sort of advertisement on the front, and they might be able to talk to you about producing something more like what you describe -- and they may have samples.
