Actually, I attended Trinity Uniersity. We toured it and liked all the new facilities but it did seem too small for my daughter. Not sure if the fraternity and sorority emphasis at Trinity and TCU are a good fit. Applicant doesn’t have interest in pledging. Applicant would be on club tennis, perform on a dance team or act in a theater or student film production. Appicant is conservative in behavior but leans toward liberal political values.
@Collegelk have you toured Fairfield University? It does not have any Greek life and they have an amazing theater program. It is just a 1 1/2 hr train ride to NYC and the town of Fairfield is nice too and very safe. It may be a bit small (4,000 students) but campus is actually a nice size.
Seattle University would be an option. They give automatic merit scholarships which are calculated on the net price calculator online which would bring the price down to your budget. I had two students graduate from Seattle U last year and they loved it. It is in a great area of Seattle.
Look also at the Colleges That Change Lives because there could be some options there too.
I second College of Charleston, a beautiful campus in a great town and students all love it.
Thanks for all your replies. We are going to visit Fairfield University.
Elon University may be one to consider. I think it checks a lot of your boxes, and is one of the more well known privates with a COA that isn’t 70K+.
Fairfield was high on the list of two of my kids.
