Any other TX school compares to UT?

<p>If you had experience with both A&M and Texas State, you could make statements like that. A&M is a better known school and I can't see why ANYONE in his or her right mind would pick the school's environment (which at Texas State involves throwing up off of the buildings and pasture parties) over education or career prospects.</p>

<p>I knew a few people who graduated from Texas State who had a lot of motivation in life and the reason they picked Texas State is because it was close to home and UT was too hard to deal with. It had nothing to do with the atmosphere at Texas State, which is lacking I might add.</p>

<p>Now if you have a choice between two nationally known schools, then yes it makes sense if you pick one over the other due to the environment. I didn't like the environment at UT at all but I almost went there because the prestige of the school more than makes up for it.</p>
