Hi, my daughter applied RD for Princeton. She’s been accepted at several other schools already but is really hoping to get into Princeton.
She has a 4.0 GPA and a 36 on her ACT. She’s taken eight AP courses thus far and gotten 5s on six of them, 4s on the other two.
As for ECs: she has acted in over a dozen theater productions both at school and in community theater and had lead or supporting roles in all. She earned admission into an invitation-only theater class taught by working actors/college theater professors at the University of Cincinnati and had three lead roles in their showcase performance. She volunteered as a camp counselor at a summer theater camp and has been the secretary of her school’s Thespians club for two years.
She has been in National Honor Society since she was eligible, won a silver medal and gold medal in a national Russian language essay competition, and managed two of my rental properties last summer as I recuperated from cancer treatment.
What do you think? Does she have a shot at an Ivy?
