Any Q's for a UCB Transfer?

Is it even possible to get into Haas without any foreign language credits (or not as many as are required)? I know there are some people who automatically do not meet the requirements and I am assuming this is one of the requirements they cut people for?

I have a question.

Since my GPA is 3.95 and my English got an B, I feel confused that whether I can be enrolled by Berkeley. My major is eco or applied math.

Is it necessary to get A in English class???

Great personal statement advice. :)

I’m a CS major applying this fall and I plan to have my math prereqs done by next spring. However, I go to DVC where CS 61B/61C equivalents are offered, but I can’t take them because I didn’t take the prereq for those classes early enough. Would that reflect poorly on me?

Absolutely great advice! Just transferred to Haas from a CC and I agree with everything Binary posted so far. Take advantage of these tips yall! Absolute gold!

Okay, I need help! Im halfway through the tests in my discrete mathematics class and a quarter of the way through the homework and so far it looks like Im going to get a B :(. My major is business, but I was planning on starting a business based upon the classes I take (selling applications) and I was going to start with discrete math, well that and I needed three more semester units. Now im not sure what I should do! Should I drop the class and get a W so it doesnt effect my GPA or will it matter because its not a breadth or a prereq?

Sorry I’ve been mia, recruiting is driving me crazy

You can still get in with a B in English, just make sure you keep your gap up

This might be an issue. Assist wants you to take the 61b/c equivalents. In general you want to fulfill as many assist reqs as you can. 2 or more unfinished assist prereqs can have a very serious negative impact on your chances

Do ypu still think I have a chance (or should I aim lower) with a B in a non~required, more advanced than required, math course and an A in evdrything else for uc Berkeley haas?

If it’s only one B then that you would still be over a 3.8? If so, you are still competitive for Haas. You seem to be focusing on the fact that it is a non-prereq class. I’m not sure how important this is to the admission committee, but in my (very subjective) observations, admission seems to be significantly influenced by non-gpa factors after a certain point.

Okay yeah, Id end up with a 3.96… I saw in another post that they tend to emphasize prerequisite GPA, then breadth GPA, and lastly extra units gpa.

Although, knowing me, im probably just going to keep reapplying until I get in…

If I remember correctly you can only apply to Haas once.

I meet some trouble in English. This fall, my english professor is changed due to his bad health condition. So I am thinking of dropping the class, but I will get a W if I drop it.

So I need to know whether it will influence my possibility to get into UCB

I have already got a B in English last semester.

I am really worried about my GPA and my future
