How is the food there? Is it a good variety or easy to get sick of? Do the kids in the honors/scholors program (idk what Im talking about but its something like captstone…) get better food? Ill probably ask more questions later too the more seriously I consider usc. thank youu

There are places to eat all over campus. Good variety too. In the main dining area, there’s a downstairs with a grill, salads, hot line, stir fry, etc. There’s a pizza place, a smoothie place, and a sandwich place too. Then upstairs there is Einstein’s Bagels, Chick-fil-a, Taco Bell, Burger King, a Greek place, Pizza Hut, and Marble Slab.

There’s an eating area in the honors residence that is similar to the downstairs that I mentioned above. All you can eat at Bates. There’s a dining hall in Capstone, and a “healthy food” place in West Quad.

Everyone gets the same food since you use your Carolina Card to get meals… I’m not in Honors or Capstone and I can eat there. I don’t live in Bates but I can eat there. Everyone gets the same options.

I lived in Capstone my freshman year, and the cafeteria right below us was great. Convenient, good selection of food, friendly people. I hardly ate at Russell House. My second and third years, I ate a lot more at RuHo. Like Knights09 said, there’s a lot more selection. I still preferred the small size and convenience of Capstone, though, so if you’re in Honors I would definitely try to take advantage of the new cafeteria in their residence hall. I’ve eaten there a few times, and it reminds me of a newer version of the Capstone one. Good food, friendly staff, super convenience.

I interviewed the Carolina Scholar finalists last Monday, and they seemed like a good group. I think they’ll be hearing soon.
