It seems that many juniors and seniors regret that they made a number of mistakes in the past.
I was just wondering if they can please help us freshmen and sophomores avoid their mistakes by providing some very general tips on various things.
Thanks.

One regret I had was not looking for more internships during my sophomore year. I was lucky enough to get into the only one I applied to during my freshman year but it didn't work out so well during my sophomore year. I would look early in December or January and apply to many of them, in case you are rejected by some of them.

This is an interesting thread, I'd like to see some replies too.

@ fudgegmaster: what kinds of internships do you mean? if you meant research, can't you just get a lab at your college?

What kind of regrets are you talking about? Just ones related to being pre-med? Because I honestly don't think you should have to sacrifice major things for medical school admissions. Sure I regret not going on a few more road trips with my fraternity brothers, and social things like that, but if being pre-med is forcing on you a college life you aren't comfortable with, then maybe it's best to look elsewhere for a career b/c it's only going to get worse...

My biggest regret: not studying abroad.

Bump..............:)

is it better to do research with a prof or get an internship?? and i would also like to know about other regrets people have.

-_-................

my only regret in life is that I did not study at all in high school.

Bump.......

it's so ridiculous to even believe u will avoid the many regrets that other people now have, for most of them u have to go through them to understand lol...well w/ the exception of drugs lol -_-
