Any scholarships for non-US citizens?

I am not a US citizen (Japanese) and I need to start applying to scholarships and financial aid for college.
I've been researching and many of the scholarships require US citizenship.
Could anyone inform me on some scholarships that do not require citizenship?
I would appreciate it.

light shining…are you currently residing in the U.S.? Your other threads indicate that you attend a “suburban public high school” and that you are currently a sophomore in HS.

It’s good that you are looking for aid for international students early in this process. You could discuss local scholarships with your guidance office at the school you attend. Sometimes they have information on local scholarships that anyone can apply for.

Do you have permanent resident status? Are you considered an instate resident by your state? Do your parents work and earn a living in the U.S.? What about you?

Will your citizenship status change any time in the next two years (are you in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen)?

What you are finding is not unusual. Most scholarships that are administered in the U.S. are for U.S citizens.

Is there an expatriate community in your town that might know of specific scholarships for students such as yourself?

If you’re a sophomore in high school, why do you think that you should be applying now?
