Oh my gosh I’m taking the exact same things almost. Except AP English Lang and AP Euro instead. I think I’m just gonna buy review books early get a head start in the summer and try to balance it all throughout the year. I’d suggest creating a schedule (i.e. list of how many pages you read from a review book everyday, which subject you read from every day, etc. etc. and plan it out do you finish like a month before the exams or something) I originally was going to do this, but I’m not very good at keeping my schedules so I think I’m just going to read whenever I can next year. Good luck to you next year!

Practice, practice, practice! It’s the best way to improve, especially for the Calc and the Science APs

@WritingonStars, Good idea! I will definitely have to do that. What review books are you buying? So far, I am buying:
Cracking the APES exam-Princeton Review
Amsco:United States History: Preparing for the advanced placement exam-John J. Newman
Master the AP Calculus AB and BC (Peterson’s AP Calc

I can’t decide what AP Chem book to buy, or what AP Lit book to buy. What AP Chem book are you buying?

I took AP Lang this year, and the test is tomorrow. 0_0 I’m actually feeling pretty confident. Let me know if you have any questions about the course!

@notoriousknight, for sure! Especially with AP Calc.

@ipeeonthings (omg ur username lol)
For apush I got crash course which is basically AMAZING. Most of the mock exams + the SAT Subject test I took had word for word answers from it. A more in depth version by the same guy is The Essential Content. Some of my friends have it and I think it’s super amazing. There’s also a free version of AMSCO online somewhere so if you’re comfortable with reading on a computer or tablet I suggest finding that since it’ll save you money
I haven’t thought about Chem yet because I’m mostly cramming for ap exams now haha. I think I’ll probably get Barron’s coupled with something else. I’ll let you know when I get them :D

Oh and good luck with AP Lang!

If you want to do well on the AP exams (which I am assuming you do), start studying for the AP exams as early as possible, especially if you feel like the class isn’t preparing you well enough and/or the course material is difficult. I feel like I could do so much better on many of my AP exams if I had studied on my own sooner, but that could just be because many of my AP teachers are mediocre at-best.

Should i have my son take the act again, he score a 32 the first time without taking any review classes

^ You should start a new thread to get an answer to your question.

Lol, @ericsa, yeah starting a new thread. I’m not quite sure about ACT scores, as the west coast usually uses SAT scores, but I think a 32 isn’t bad.

@Writingonstars, good to know! I’ll definitely get it on computer. (I feel so bad, my mom’s been having to buy tons of prep books.) I’ve never tried any of the crash course books, I’ll have to check them out! Thanks!

@Collegiatedreams, Yeah, I think I might study a little bit over the summer, and get a little ahead. I’ll be going on a few long car rides, so that’ll give me something to do. Thanks!
