Any suggestion about which cc should I choose?

I am willing to go to any state, for a good cc.

What I am looking for:
it should have a good support system ( eg, writing center ), teaching should also be good.

Since my ultimate goal is to transfer to a four-year college, I hope the school has a history of sending its students to top colleges and unis.

I did find a Holyoke Community College in MA, it says on the website that graduates have gone to Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, etc. Do anyone know this school, is it good? I am currently applying for it, but I want to keep my options open and try to apply a few more. Do you have any recommendations? I am dying for advice…

Is a CC not in your own state affordable? Most are there to serve state residents.

For what it’s worth, here is WalletHub’s ranking of U.S. Community Colleges:

My state (Washington) CC system is #1, but the criteria used to determine that ranking may be a little suspect.

The only reason why Holyoke CC sends some (I’ll bet that the total number is not that high) students to those schools, is that they are just about within sight of each other. I don’t think Holyoke CC is particularly special; as a matter of fact, I think that they struggle with dealing with a significant proportion of disadvantaged students in a region that is experiencing economic decline.

If you go out-of-state to a CC, you will pay out-of-state tuition, which can be costly. It will probably be less expensive to attend a public 4-year college in your own state, compared to attending an out-of-state CC.

I think that you should go to your local CC, apply yourself and earn high grades in rigorous courses, and earn an Associate’s degree. You will then be well-positioned to transfer to a college with competitive admissions.
