Most programs are geared for younger high school students or those already enrolled in college. There’s no external incentive–no padding of college apps or gaining college credit. But my high school senior is looking for an opportunity to get out of his comfort zone for a month or so this summer before starting college in the fall. Wants to go with a group. There’s a program to Myanmar through Where There Be Dragons, but it’s very expensive. Any suggestions?
