So who do you think is playing the best game so far? I like Deshawn, good social game, smart, physically strong, in a strong alliance.

What an episode. I had no idea how things were going to finally play out and it was a nail biting pleasure to watch!
SO glad for Xander to get a moment. I like him and he has so much potential even though he is young. Me thinks some of the elders are a bit jealous of him. 
Wonder if Evvie was fully in on all of that or no??
PRICELESS the looks on the faces of all the tribe members when Jeff and Erica revealed the results of Exile Island. So glad she played it out that way.
ALSO that individual challenge and putting the flag in at the end. Well done Ricard.
ALSO enjoyed seeing Shan vis Liana get put in their place a bit. Shan is so sure she has a handle on everything - and everybody. She is slowly losing that hold.

Apologies I maybe asked this before…when do we get jury? At 10? 9? 8?
I don’t know but I am guessing 10.
No official word. The number of jury members has varied from 7 to 10, with the larger juries more common for n later seasons.

I hope it’s soon. I’m attached to most of these players and would like to continue to see them in the jury.

We finally caught up. We were 3 episodes behind until last night.
If I’m not mis-counting, Sydney was #12 and will not be on the jury. So Tiffany and Naseer are #'s 1 and 2 of an 11-person jury.
Interesting how they’re playing during the merge, I’d be trying to take out the masterminds like Liana, Ricard and Shan, not someone like Heather. I’m hoping Deshawn will blow up his alliance with them already. Shan is driving me crazy.
Right now, I’m on the Xander-train, until further notice. Smart player who appears to be in the process of eventually writing his dissertation for his PhD in Sociology or Psychology.

I have no DVR and watch Survivor on broadcast TV after a very long day at the office. So I am sure I don’t get all the nuance. But I started rooting for the winner a while ago and it was satisfying to see them (no spoiler!) to the end.
What are these archaic things of which you speak?

What did we think about the after show, taped immediately after the winner reveal in Fiji, as opposed to in a studio months after filming? It seemed better, with players giving more substantive answers, without the “hey, let’s say hello to (random former survivor contestant)!” Players seemed to discuss the game more in the moment, having just completed the game.

There was one episode where the winner had more air time and I thought “who is that?” After that episode, it seemed like they were giving them the winner’s edit. I knew it wasn’t Shan or Zander as they both were used as narrators and narrators rarely win.
I wanted either of the 2 men to win
