I'm thinking about pursuing an MS in CS.
One of my main "goals", per say, is to work for a large video game industry (like Riot Games or Blizzard).
One of my other main "goals" is to work for Google or Microsoft.

Has anyone that has gotten a CS degree managed to accomplish any of the two above?
Is this the right field to go into for that or should I go into something else?
I'm more interested in the programming/design aspect of video games/technology.

I’m a parent. But a lot of kids from my daughter’s school graduated with a CS degree and are working at Google and Microsoft. I think Facebook #1 employee graduated from UCSD and he also was working at Blizzard.

There are lots of interesting companies for CS graduates to work at besides video game companies and GAFAM.

Yay! That gives me great hope.

Most of the students in CS here work for Google, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo, Gaming companies, start ups, basically whatever you’d like to do is available to you with a CS degree
