Any tips to break the CR plateau?

Currently, my CR score is plateauing at around 680-700 (I took 3 CR tests in the last few days and my score was always within that range), and I want to break at least 750. Do you guys have any specific and/or advanced tips for the PASSAGE BASED READING part only? I keep getting 1-2 passage based reading questions wrong every section and it's really ****ing me off. Thanks in advance.

I cant remember the last time i missed a passage questions. For me im getting 770-800 and the only ones i miss are the harder vocab ones.

What i do for passage:

 • Read passage normally, i like to underline random stuff that sticks out to me or summarizing points. Its really just to keep me focused.
 • Read question, if it pertains to a sentence or lines of the passage reread that.
 • Answer by crossing out wrong answers, when you have 2 or 3 plausible choices ask yourself why those are wrong.
 • When you have one that sticks out as correct, think again about it and justify why it is right.

And that basically all i do. I dont read quesitons before hand, i dont skim or do any special strategies. I just basically do it like you normally would.

But i cannot stress to you the importance of answering by eliminating wrong choices instead of just circling the right choice.

When you see an answer choice, think why that could be right or why it is absolutely wrong. And dont just pull stuff out your thumb. Is there any evidence in the passage to support this answer choice?

Thanks for the advice. I think I may have found my (very obvious) problem for the past 3 tests: I didn’t cross out answer choices (I took the tests from a blue book in Barnes and Noble so I couldn’t write in the book) T_T
