any1 got the us news 2005?

<p>owell - i didnt even hear about scripps until after nov. 1st anyway - i wonder if ED helps at all in the admissions. I have the feeling from reading older post that it is really getting competitive. Think I have a better shot ED? By the way what kind of writing piece did you send them>?</p>

<p>I do think ED will be a big help, especially considering they are so small. Do they get many people from New England? </p>

<p>For my writing, I sent them a paper I wrote at a summer program just before my junior year - i hope thats recent enough. it was a frankenstein/genesis/paradis lost piece. I talked about how the monster ("Fred" in my class) played the various roles of adam, then eve, then satan. My teacher liked it, and hes a yale prof. during the school year, so i figured it was decent.</p>

<p>I sent them a research paper from Jr Year that i wrote on the Great Gatsby's characters immoral/moral qualities in correlation to the setting each one lived in throughout the book. Pretty thorough research paper so hopefully they will like it <em>i got a B on it but only because my MLA format was screwed :(</em> I guess its better not to send them a perfect A paper, but rather let them see your writing for what it is.
