<p>I only applied to three schools (and on a whim UMKC's Combined BA/MD program), all of which would have been safeties in the CC vernacular. I had "the talk" as weenie suggested only it occurred far in advance of me applying or even setting about my college list. I know that I could have easily gotten into a "better" school (I did get into UMKC's program so I know I was competitive)</p>
<p>Even so, my dream school was in that group of three. I'm sure that some of you can't fathom that, but I never saw the draw of the schools that make people swoon around here.</p>
