Oh, I agree that the humidity is awful in most of Texas. I don't think anyone enjoys the humidity part regardless of how long they've lived here.

I love Texas other than the racist hicks, overly conservative people, and yeah the humidity.

To the op...that made me laugh. Iowa is lame. I've always wondered how people live ins tates like that.....or what they even look like....

um you're going to kill me but I think cali sucks.

I didn't enjoy the humidity in TX, but I didn't really find it too much of a problem either. Esp since there's only like 1 month of the year when it's dry enough to get shocked halfway to death and back by static electricity.

"To the op...that made me laugh. Iowa is lame. I've always wondered how people live ins tates like that.....or what they even look like...."

Well, for one thing, Karl is sexy. Dead sexy. Gigetty, gigetty, aaallllll riiiighttt!

i live in iowa...i think it could be worse tho...where i live isn't like a super small town tho, so theres at least some things to do and its not like I know everyone so theres people to meet. Definitely could be worse. And out in california they dont even have basements, so theres no where to just plain hang out. I am happy to be leaving here for college...can't wait in fact

I've lived in Texas for almost ten years now and I've only recently started to like it here. The weather does suck in the summer. But it's flat (at least where I am) so it's easier to drive stick-shift.

It's hard to generalize Texas though since it's such a huge state. I probably wouldn't like El Paso. Or San Antonio. If any of you guys ever want to see the Alamo for whatever reason, don't bother. You'll spend about 10 minutes there at the most. Just watch Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and save yourself the trouble.

Where in TX do you live?

I loved San Antonio, even though the few times I was there, it was right smack dab in the middle of July.

Enter Wisconsin.

Sometimes people think Wisconsin is mysterious, which I don't understand at all.. It's pretty much corn fields, cows (LOTS of cows), cheese, and republicans. And God. God is everywhere.

My town has (literally) about 500 people. We have a cheese factory (how stereotypical) a general store (which sells expired food), and a church that has more members than the town itself.

Everyone is ridiculously conservative and close-minded and likely own "I heart Bush" t-shirts. My school has 300 people, and 290 of us are caucasian.

I do live 15 minutes from Kohler, though, the TOILET SEAT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! o_o; Joy. Also, the International Brat Eating Tournament is held 15 minutes away. Plus, the "coolest public bathroom in the US" is in Sheboygan too.

However, those things do not make up for the suckiness.

Anyone else from Wisconsin?

Houston area. It snowed here two days and two years ago.

lol idealistic, you might have it the roughest of all of us. I've been to Madison and I (thought I) liked it.

"And God. God is everywhere."

You made me spit pepsi all over my keyboard!

Spartan, what HS are you from?

Oh and Iowa does/did have a redeeming factor. At least the Hawkeyes dominated at football, but they suck this year, and are going to get their ass kicked by Texas in the Alamo Bowl. Sooo sad.

dubisteinschuh- Dude I lived there too! I loved it.

There's a toiletseat capital of the world?

Karl Marks- The other good thing about Iowa- low cut off for National Merit. :D

"Karl Marks- The other good thing about Iowa- low cut off for National Merit."

Sadly, I did not take the psat seriously and missed the damn cutoff by a point. And then I didn't even study for the SATs but actualy did good on that. But yes, it is easy to dominate the scrubs here.

So far we've got a lot of midwesterners here, lol, we know what area sucks! And three Iowans here already! WOW!

I used to live in Florida and I hated it. Most people think I'm crazy when I say that. However, it was humid 95% of the time and the people there are just rude. On top of that, in the Winter all the elderly would come down and they had the notion that they ran the place. No one knows how thrilled I was to get out of there.

Now I'm in Tennessee for college and I love it! :)

What the deuce?

Actually, TN isn't bad, but it's the fact that I've lived here forever. Variety is the spice of life! :D

Not officially. Kohler Company is headquartered here, and they make like a billion toilets a year.

Madison is an oasis in the desert that is Wisconsin.

I moved here when I was seven, and now I'm stuck with an accent that makes me sound like a mentally deficient farmer.

Iowa might have a low cut off, but ours is really high. For being as crazy as they are, Wisconsinites are kinda smart.

i have rarely ever heard anything good about texas, so thats where my belief came from Kathos. i concede it is a big state and there might be good places

However, weather is huge for me. any place with a high humidity is simply unbearable for me, so basically thats why i love the west coast.

Lies, all lies :)

Awwwwww, come on, anyone else out there?

Florida....too humid and too many old people. I'd like to live somewhere like in rural parts of Texas (I've been there twice and the humidity is not THAT bad). I am not a city person......
