Haha just a random thread I wanted to start.

I watch stuff like...

Clannad, Elfin Lied, High School of the Dead... and others. :3

I got to admit, sometimes it's better than mainstream TV.

gawd I keep getting distracted from studying SAT's. LOL.

Meeehhh I do what I want

OMIGAWD I LOVE ANGEL BEATS…

LOL I love the soundtracks as well (I’m listening to them right now LOL) I’m trying to learn the songs on piano. It’s really pretty.

I don’t cosplay as much lot as I want to because it’s expensive and i’m broke ; o ;. I usually try on the dresses from Japan in places like Naoto, or like the shop in japantown, it’s freakin 300 to 400 bucks though, lol. But i’m planning to cosplay Enma Ai from Hell girl since I have the uniform xD.

@retrohippo don’t worry i understood you :3 arigato ~ you’re kawwaii too. LOL.

yayy :)

What’s the point of cosplay, will someone pleeeeeaaaaasssseeee explain

I can’t go on tc bro I’m on an iPad now

And I have things to do

Life is hard sometimes.

@98beebee

It’s kind of like Halloween, dressing up to another person. You get to look like a cute anime character, except you could do it anytime you want and feel like to. It’s a thing called “having fun” you know x)

Oh haha and it’s so popular, they even hold contests for it, so hey you can win money if you’re lucky ;)

Cosplaying is a pathetic activity for people who don’t have better outlets to express their supposed individuality.

COME AT ME.

I Agree with GrammerNazi. Tbh it sounds boring and kinda dumb.

Um, 98, I’m half-Japanese…

life isn’t that hard .____. for me anyways.

Life is hard all the timeeee

Haha retro :)

Wow chill. That only applies to people who only has cosplaying as their ONLY activity.

It’s one of my hobbies not my ONLY hobby. But hey it’s your opinion, and I respect that.

@Retrohippo you’re half Japanese? How cool :3 I’m actually going to Japan this summer and staying with a host family. I’m taking classes right now learning a few basic Japanese phrases. :3 So far I noticed desu and wa is commonly used… What do those exactly mean? o_0 and like it’s cool how ka is a question mark in Japanese x).

@GrammerNazi You like trolling now donchu xD

I don’t see a problem with cosplaying for the most part. It allows you to be someone else for a while and show off your creative skills (drawing, sewing, crafts, construction, etc.).

Anyways, I used to be a die-hard manga/manhwa fanatic. However, with Asian high school responsibilities constantly piling on, I don’t have the time to just lounge around anymore and read a really good series that may be 50+ chapters long. I still try to read shorter series/one shots though whenever I can scrounge up enough time. Nevertheless, I still draw in a slightly anime-esque style, and I help design stuff for other people :D

Diss me for my apparent lameness, but I love what I do and who I am. I have accomplished the Asian expectations of the academic sphere and see no reason as to why I can’t enjoy my hobbies (manga/manhwa, videogames, violin, etc.). GrammerNazi, come at me bro (http://chzmemebase.files.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2011/09/memes-duck-at-me-bro.jpg).

Come at me AGAIN bro
Granted, there’s some things that probably should never have been done, but give me just about any hobby and I probably could pull up a picture that just makes one innately facepalm.

That is not cosplay. That is a kid in a hulk costume that has no interest in being in the costume.
