anybody in c/o 2012 started the application?

Hey guys! so the application for fall 2012 is already out. Has anybody else started? if so, I have a couple of questions (could probably also be answered by anyone who has completed the application in the past). In the activities section it limits the number of characters you can enter in the leadership/awards area. What should I do when I have awards/leadership roles that far exceed the box? For example, I would love to be able to mention my four state Model UN awards, my leadership position as a junior and my position as president of the club this upcoming year. I barely have room to put in president and home government (my jr year position), much less include my awards. Also, Georgetown requires applicants to report all of their test scores for SAT, SAT2, and ACT. However, they only provide slots to indicate four testing dates. I've already taken the SAT twice, the SAT2 once, and the ACT once. I will most likely repeat one of those tests again in the fall. How should I include this test date? Thank you guys for your help and happy application filling out!

BUMP! I have the exact same problem!! I feel like there should be a way to increase the space for us.

I’m a Georgetown student and when I applied, because of the issues that you mentioned, what I chose to do was to do the application on paper, and write what I could in the limited space on the application, and then attach a separate activity list with more detailed information, and I made a note on my app asking the reviewer to refer to my activity list.

It is a balancing act, because you want to keep all your application materials as concise as possible so that the admissions committee doesn’t miss anything while reviewing a thick file in a hurry, but from my experience, many people attach extra information–not necessarily a formal “resume,” though–and it’s not worth leaving off things like MUN awards or leadership positions just to fit it all into what is, frankly, a ridiculously small amount of space.

I hope this answers your question. If you’d like more specific details, advice on your app, or more information on my strategy that I used, feel free to PM me. Good luck!
