Iam pondering on these schools. CAn anybody give me detail about any of those ? thank you so much.

Look at the top of this screen. You will see a white box with the words “Search Forum” in it. Enter the name of each school and see what information already exists for that school. Once you have done this, come back here and ask any questions that you still may have. There is a wealth of information on specific schools as well as boarding/prep school life in general. Also – I have found that when I ask a specific question about a specific school/sport/program I am more likely to get answers. It sounds like you are just beginning your search. Welcome and good luck.

This list of schools makes no sense. These schools are geographically all over the place! Are u an int’l student/parent?

Yeah Iam going to have an interview with Lawrenceville ? Anybody knows useful information about this school ? Can you tell me ? Thanks a lot

Seriously, @bubblerain you need to do your own research. It’s not that we won’t help, it is more that ONLY YOU know what is “useful” to you. We don’t know why you want to go to any given school nor do we know what things you find appealing about schools. I suggest you use the search function here, review (in depth) the website of each school, read each school handbook and check out what clubs/sports/extras each might have. THEN come back and ask questions.

Finding the right school for you will require some work on your part, if you hope to find schools that suit your style/goals/etc.

My daughter attends Pomfret. If you have specific questions. Let me know

I was accepted into Loomis and live near St. Andrews in Florida (I know a lot of people who go there.) For St. Andrews, the environment is very WASP-y and athletic-oriented. It is primarily a day school so boarding life is not very active. Of the people whom I know, some of them love it there and some of them hate it. My advice is that if you like Boca Raton, you’d love St. Andrews and if you don’t like it, I wouldn’t suggest it. Loomis is probably the most difficult to get into from those on your list and is less of a traditional prep school. They have strong programs in athletics, arts, and academics. It was my second choice and I only passed over it simply because I felt more at home at the school I currently attend.

how is the academy and environment in Pomfret ? thanks for your help

Umm, it is? Based upon what?

SkiEurope, that’s just based on my experience touring several prep schools. Loomis has very strong programs across the board; it’s environment seemed more open and less wasp-y than a lot of the other prep schools out there.
