Anybody tried the Sparknotes AP Powerpacks?

I'm curious cuz i want to get some study guides for Chem, Calc and i'm unsure if the powerpacks are worth the money. Does sparknotes do a good job in the actual study guide (it says 'strategy guide' on the box) portion of the pack? Thanks in advance,

imo, the true ap powerpacks are good textbooks and practice exams.

I get what you mean about the only true 'powerpacks' for AP are good textbooks and practice exams, but that's what's really confusing me. This sparknotes pack has 2 practice exams and a diagnostic test (basically it's an exam that then tells you what areas you're not doing well in and need to study more). It's the same price as a normal testprep book- $15. I'm just curious what people think of the study guides by Sparknotes. I've always used 5 steps to a 5 before and Princeton Review so Sparknotes is new to me.
Thanks again,

when i say practice exams i mean released exams. regarding the sn powerpacks, i can offer no insight, as i have never used them before. for chemistry i don't think you really need a prep book, especially if u use zumdahl's chemistry as a text. however, i have found kaplan's book to be pretty decent; pr is a little too skimpy and barrons perhaps a little too wordy. If you need some prep books for calc i think peterson's is good enough. that book covers all the topics and is well-written. and also for calc get the moems 15 yrs of fr questions.

Yeah right now i have princeton and 5 steps to a 5 cuz a couple seniors just gave them to me...

so, has anyone actually tried them yet?

Yes! I have and they're great, there's a little bit of false advertisement with the whole "access" to diagnostic tests, those are free anyway...but the flashcards are great and easy to use also the sparkcharts that come with it are great for reviewing overall themes and ideas... i got them for us, chem, and calc and i did most of the practice exams... i thought that they were pretty good at mimicking the actual AP so PM me with any more ?'s and they're definately worth the 15$
